Title contenders Nungua Coldstore, Tema Rockets and Tema Community 4 have sealed their places in the semifinal round of the Tema Community Basketball League playoffs.
Defending champions Nungua Coldstore recorded its second straight win over Sakumono Titans thanks to a 65-62 result in Game 2.
Debutant Sakumono competed well in both games losing in single digits in both games but battle tested Coldstore prevailed in clutch time; Titans is coached by former Coldstore league title winning Coach Ken Caesar.
Former League Champions Tema Community 4 beat Tema Wildcats37-35 to progress to the semifinals which is to be played in a best of three games format. Like Titans, Wildcats were making their debut in the league.
Tema Rockets had a straight forward 53-31 win over Tema Community 2 in the biggest win margin of the round to move into the semis.
2019 League finalist Tema Heat extended its season by clinching a 41-40 win over Spintex Knights. The win ensures Heat ties the series at 1-1 and a Game 3 will decide which team progresses.
