Braves of Customs Coach Seth Okine has stated his team’s capture of the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I title was down to “energy and experience”.

Customs lifted the Benjamin Baafi title this weekend at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu after beating Adenta Leopards 60-65 in Game 3 of the Playoffs Finals Series; Customs topped the division via a 2-1 series win over Adenta.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com, the veteran Coach indicated the team’s success was down to utilizing the benefits from his outfit’s recent continental outing.

Braves earlier in the month competed in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) qualifiers in Cotonou, Benin but couldn’t progress to the Elite 16 stage.

“That was a very high level we were playing against the best of every club…unfortunately, we didn’t qualify, however, that energy and experience really contributed to our victory here today” he said.

Bravers were on the verge of losing the league title after falling 57-65 to Leopards in Game One but an 82-69 win in Game 2 turned the tide in favour of the perennial champions.
