The aftermath of Keta Business College’s (KETABUSCO) win at the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship has been anything but celebratory.
The school is marred in a host of allegations on cheating at the recently ended tournament held at the El Wak Stadium in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Since beating Mfantsipim School 48-40 in the final of the Boys Division, KETABUSCO has been hit with a flurry of cheating allegations bordering on fielding unqualified players among others.
The level of focus has caught the attention of the Ghana Education Service (GES) top hierarchy who have called on a high level entourage from the school for a meeting into the allegations as part of ongoing investigations.
KETABUSCO Headmaster and members of the school’s Physical Education Unit have been summoned to the GES next week for a meeting per the official statement from Sprite Ball organizers Rite Sports Limited.
The 14th edition of Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball tournament commenced exactly a week ago and ended a day later.
