Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club Captain Kwame Boamah Djan has assured fans of a win in the team’s upcoming game this weekend.
He made the assurance in an interview with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of a 42-46 loss to Tema Rockets in the ongoing semifinals of the Tema Community Basketball League Playoffs.
Coldstore lost in Game 1 of the semifinals to the veteran side; the loss was Coldstore’s second in 24 games this season including 22 played in the regular season.
However, Djan is confident of a win in Game 2 which takes place on Sunday, January 26 at the Tema Community 4 at 17:30 GMT.
“We lost our composure…but trust me we will be back and win on Sunday” he said and went ahead to promise a series win to make another finals appearance.
Coldstore are defending champions of the league and have two titles to its name after wins in 2016 and 2018. A win on Sunday takes Rockets to its debut finals.
