Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club has won its second Tema Community Basketball League title in as many seasons after sweeping Spintex Knights in the League Finals Series.

Coldstore beat Knights 90-83 in Game 2 of the series at the Tema Community 4 Court this past weekend to successfully defend the league title.

The team is the first in the history of the league to win back to back titles; Coldstore beat Knights 70-67 in Game One en route to victory.

Aside bagging two titles on the bounce, Coldstore’s latest win underlines the team as the most dominant in the Tema League.

On the individual level, Nungua continued its annual sweep of awards at the end of the season with Wendell Otoo winning Coach of the Year Award and Joel Tham winning the Most Valuable Player Award.

Coldstore played the entire postseason without the services of Power Forward Gerald Sappor who was diagnosed with Leukemia. The 2020 campaign is tentatively slated to commence in April.
