Personalities representing institutions to compete in the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship are expected to be present for the official launch of this year’s tournament.

The upcoming competition is due to commence on Saturday, March 7 with games in Zone One to be played at the Pope John Senior High School in Koforidua.

The launch will take place at the press conference on Tuesday, March 3 at the Delish Restaurant in Accra where details of the competition are to be communicated by organizers, Rite Sports Limited, to the press.

Basketballghana.com understands players and coaches of some competing teams particularly those in the Greater Accra Region are in line to be present for the conference.

UPAC is widely regarded as Ghana’s biggest basketball tournament at the tertiary education level with teams from all three sects in the country’s tertiary education eligible to compete.

University of Ghana (UG) has dominated the competition winning four titles in a row with Accra Technical University winning twice. The upcoming UPAC is the seventh edition.
