The win secures the 2019 overall silver medal winners a place in this year’s national competition; Radford University College qualified from Zone One.

Adding to TTU’s impressive outing at UCC’s Gymnasium, Guard Ibrahim Jaffaro walked away with the Zone’s best player award for his outstanding displays in both games.

His hard drives to the basket and tough plays on defense were key in frustrating zonal title favourite UCC in the crunch tie between the rivals.

He follows the likes of fellow of TTU Zonal winners including Kent Fosu who won the Award in 2016 after guiding TTU to that year’s zonal title.
