Takoradi Technical University v University of Mines and Technology in 2020 UPAC Zone Two Qualifier

The 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship schedule has been utterly decimated by the sharp rise of the Corona Virus.

The Virus has forced several industries to grind to a halt and activities in basketball in Ghana wasn’t spared with a ban on social gatherings preventing any event from taking place.

This year’s UPAC is one of the affects competitions with the vent yet to restart after it was suspended on March 16 due to the aforementioned ban.

The 2020 UPAC was shaping up nicely with Radford University College and Takoradi Technical University bagging qualification wins from Zone One and Zone Two respectively.

Radford University topped Zone One

Per the original schedule, the final round of games to determine the winner of the seventh edition of Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball competition were set to be played out from April 16 to April 18 at the University of Ghana.

However, with a lot of uncertainty regarding the restart of the competition, the wait continues to determine which team wins this year’s UPAC. University of Ghana is the defending champion.
