Ghana born France International Shooting Guard Billy Yakuba Ouattara’s quest for a first ever French League title is still on ice.
The National Basketball League (NBL) top flight basketball league-the JEEP Elite- Pro A is still yet to decide on the fate of the 2019-2020 season.
The league is still suspended due to the rapid rise of the Corona Virus in France that has claimed the lives of over 25,000 people.
The chronic situation forced the league to a halt and extensive discussions have been had over the future of the campaign with some mulling over the idea of declaring the season over.
“The National Basketball League’s steering committee has decided not to … decide on the end of the season or a possible resumption in September” the League site stated.
This means the wait continues for Ouattara and Monaco for a debut league title since a cancelled season puts Monaco ahead of Dijon and ASVEL despite all three having 21 wins and four losses. Monaco has point differential advantage.
