Ghana Small Forward Reggie Agbeko has been caught up in the mess brought about by the corona virus pandemic in Spain with the virus halting the 28 year old’s debut season in the European country.

Agbeko joined Spanish LEB Silver side Albacete prior to the season after sitting out the entire 2018-2019 campaign due to visa issues. Albacete plays in Spain’s third division.

However, the campaign has been halted since March as the country went into a nationwide lockdown in the wake of the virus that has killed over 10,000 people.

Like several athletes in various sports disciplines, Agbeko had his time competition cut short and forced to stay indoors to avoid getting infected.

Agbeko played for four seasons at St. Louis University Bilikens and graduated in 2017 before turning pro; his first stop in his professional career was Horsens IC in Denmark where he missed out on the league title to Bakken in the final.

He is averaging 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 16 minutes this season.
