This means Mitrovic reunites with Ghanaian born French international Shooting Guard Yakuba Ouattara who played for Mitrovic in 2016 and 2017.

Prior to his appointment, Mitrovic Coached fellow French League side ASVEL Lyon for the past two seasons while combining national team duties with Montenegro.

The veteran Coach joins a team that was on course to end the past season with the first seed for the playoffs before the league was cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic.

Ouattara helped Monaco record 21 wins and four losses while averaging 11.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in 25 games. The pair played critical roles in Monaco’s impressive win of the French League Cup in 2016.

Mitrovic helped ASVEL win the French League title in 2019.
