Coosur Retis Betis has lost its opening preseason game in its first outing ahead of the 2020-2021 season in the Spanish Endesa League.

Ghanaian born French International Player Billy Yakuba Ouattara left his mark on his new team early by leading all players on Betis roster in scoring.

Despite a 74-90 loss to Unicaja Malaga, Ouattara had a good game in his first run out with Betis since signing for the club this offseason.

He scored 17 points with Guard Terrance Campbell the only Betis player to score in double figures with 10 points. The rest of the team had single figure scoring outings.

Malaga’s French International Small Forward Axel Bouteille top scored in the game with 26 points with teammate Tim Abromaitis adding 13 points.

Ouattara moved from AS Monaco to Betis after a five year run with the French Principality team that him feature for Long Island Nets in the NBA’s Gatorade League.

The upcoming season commences on September 18 after the 2019-2020 season was halted and eventually cancelled due to the corona virus pandemic.
