Basketballghana.com can confirm the 2020 edition of the StreetBall At The Mall Tournament will take place on Saturday, October 17 and end on Sunday, October 18.
The competition is slated to be held at the Kumasi City Mall Park in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi; it is the fourth edition of the annual tournament.
Multiple teams in the city are expected to register and compete for prizes and assorted items from organizer ClockWork Brand.
It is the first major basketball tournament to be held after the ban on participation in contact sports was lifted; Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo lifted the ban as part of easing COVID 19 restrictions enforced in the West African country for multiple months.
Defending StreetBall Champions Ayeduase Snipers are competing in the tournament per reports gathered by Ghana’s leading hoops portal.
A handful of Kumasi Basketball League teams are gunning for a place in the competition; StreetBall forms part of initiatives to promote basketball in Kumasi.
