Ghana Forward Ben Bentil was in action for Greek Giants Panathinaikos Basketball Club’s latest game in the EuroLeague Basketball Championship.

The 6 foot 8 inch player competed for the Athens club in a 93-97 loss to Real Madrid after double overtime in a closely contested game.

Bentil came off the bench and played 33 minutes registering 13 points and five rebounds as Panathinaikos lost for the ninth time in 12 games in the 2020-2021 Regular Season of Europe’s premier continental club competition.

The former Providence College player converted five of eight shots from two point range including a layup on a fastbreak as the game ended tied on 68 at the end of regulation.

The teams battled to a tied 79 result at the end of first overtime before Real pulled away in double overtime for its ninth win in 14 games.

Bentil has been in good form in recent games and scored 15 points in a league win for Panathinaikos this past weekend. He is in the second and final season of his contract.
