Amida dunks ball in an Intercontinetal Cup game

Basketballghana.com can confirm the NBA Gatorade League (G League) 2020-2021 Regular Season will commence on February 8 and is to be played out in a bubble at the Walt Disney Resort in Orlando.

Ghana Center Amida Brimah has recovered from an ACL injury and is expected to play for G League outfit Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Brimah won the G League title in 2018 with Austin Spurs.

NBA side Indiana Pacers signed Brimah but waived him and assigned him to its affiliate team in the G League-Mad Ants.

The G League serves as a development league for young players on NBA rosters and serves as a route into the league for veteran players.

For instance, NBA Champion Jeremy Lin has signed to play for Santa Cruz Warriors which is affiliated to Golden State Warriors in the NBA.

Players are to report to the bubble on January 26 and training camp commences; the season tips off on February 8 with single elimination games playoffs running from March 5-9.

18 teams will compete in the bubble.
