Ghana Forward Ben Bentil started in Panathinaikos Basketball Club’s win in the immediate round of games played this past weekend after the international window of qualification games.

Bentil missed out on playing during the international break due to Ghana’s failure to compete in the 2021 African Nations Basketball Championship (AfroBasket) last month.

Panathinaikos beat Aris 94-72 with Bentil registering 13 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal in 18 minutes. Bentil scored two of five free throw attempts but fared better shooting from other areas on the court as he converted one of two three point shots.

The Small Forward/Power Forward was one of three Panathinaikos starters to score in double figures; teammate TJ Bray led all players with 25 points in the game.

Panathinaikos maintains its lead in the Greek A1 standings with 11 wins and two losses with AEK Athens in second place having won 11 of 15 games.

Bentil gets the chance to add to his tally when Panathinaikos plays Barcelona in the EuroLeague on March 2 at 19:00 GMT.
