San Diego qualified by winning the Mountain West Conference thanks to a 68-57 win over Utah State University with Mensah registering 10 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 24 minutes as the starting Center.

However, this was supposed to be San Diego’s second trip to the NCAA Tournament in a row after topping the Mountain West Conference last season.

The team couldn’t compete in the Tournament for the 2019-2020 national title as the corona virus pandemic forced authorities to cancel the competition popularly known as “March Madness”.
