San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team has qualified to compete in the 2020-2021 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament with Ghana’s Nathan Mensah on San Diego’s roster.
Playing in the NCAA Tournament gives San Diego the opportunity to win the national title at the College level in the United States of America.
San Diego qualified by winning the Mountain West Conference thanks to a 68-57 win over Utah State University with Mensah registering 10 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and a steal in 24 minutes as the starting Center.
However, this was supposed to be San Diego’s second trip to the NCAA Tournament in a row after topping the Mountain West Conference last season.
The team couldn’t compete in the Tournament for the 2019-2020 national title as the corona virus pandemic forced authorities to cancel the competition popularly known as “March Madness”.
San Diego plays 2003 National Champions Syracuse University on Friday, March 19 in the opening round and plays the winner between West Virginia University and Morehead State University in the next round.
