Emmanuel Dowuona in action

Budding Ghana Center Emmanuel Dowuona is set to join Tennessee State University Men’s Basketball Team later this year after transferring from Purdue University.

The 6 foot 10 player struggled to get minutes and played just nine game through two seasons at the BoilerMakers after redshirting his true freshman year; he battled with COVID 19 symptoms in the past season.

His decision means he could share the court with son of legendary Rapper Master P, Hercy Miller, who committed to play for Tennessee last month.

Miller is a solidly rated 6 foot 3 Point Guard who picked Tennessee State ahead of other programs including Georgetown University, Vanderbilt University and University of Southern California.

He is yet to sign a letter of intent though but Miller looks set to play at Tennessee State pointing to his desire to influence more African American players to choose HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) ahead of other programs.

Should Miller maintain his decision, he could share the floor with Dowuona in the near future.
