Turkish Premier Basketball League outfit, Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul has confirmed the addition of Ghanaian Forward Ben Bentil to its roster.

The acquisition comes ahead of the start of the 2021-2022 season with Bentil confirming his departure from Greek side Panathinaikos mere days after helping the team bag the Greek League title. (Click highlighted text to view story)

It was Bentil’s second league title in his two year run with the club; the past season had Panathinaikos also bag the Greek Basketball Cup.

The Turkish side tweeted “Welcome to our family, Ben!” in the official announcement; Bentil had already communicated his departure from Panathinaikos. (Click highlighted text to view tweet)

Bentil joins a Bahceshir side that finished in 10th place in the 16 team league standings; the team recorded 10 wins in 30 games in the immediate past season.

Moving to Turkey represents another chapter in Bentil’s professional career that has seen him play for teams in China, Greece, Spain and France.

He has a playing stint with Dallas Mavericks in the NBA also on his CV after starring at Providence College.
