Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Police Service protest against playing in overtime against Reformers of Prisons has been ruled on by the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Board. Ruling on the protest that will affect Ghana Airfoce Turbojets and Ghana Fire Service is yet to be determined.

Police lost the protest with the ABL Board basing its ruling on the league format process of deciding tied game in regulation time in overtime. Reformers have been declared 20-0 winners as a result.

Police protested playing in overtime due to the changed league format used to see out the 2021 Regular Season due to the COVID 19 pandemic citing FIBA’s Article 8 about decisions on games the end in a draw at the end of regulation time.

It is one of two cases that the ABL Board had to sit on in the immediate past week; a ruling on a protest filed in the game between Ghana Fire Service and Ghana Airforce Turbojets is pending.
