Basketballghana.com can report the BetWay Hoops Tournament is set to return to the capital of Ghana’s Western Region, Sekondi-Takoradi for the 2021 edition of the competition.

The leading sports betting firm in Ghana has headlined the program since 2018 and ahead of this year’s program, the Takoradi Technical University Court has been repainted.

TTU’s Court now spots a mix of green and black colours with BetWay’s signage painted inside the center circle; TTU’s Court serves as the venue for the Western Basketball Association League.

The community based competition has attracted basketball clubs in Ghana over the years to compete; the 2019 edition was held at the Tema Community 4 Court in the Greater Accra Region.

Accra based Nungua Coldstore has won the tournament twice with the 2019 edition triumph coming at the expense of Tema Community 2. Community 2 ranked fourth in the 2018 competition.

The tournament wasn’t held in 2020 primarily due to the COVID 19 pandemic per reports reaching Ghana’s leading basketball portal.
