GBBA-LBF/ITU Team with TTU, and WBA Reps

Western Regional Basketball Association (WBA) Board Chair Dr. Owusu Ansah Ankrah has described recent development in basketball in Ghana as exciting.

He said this in an exclusive interview during the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA)-Lithuania Basketball Federation (LBF)-International Basketball University (IBU) Team Tour of Ghana’s Western Region.

The tour of some locations in Ghana’s southern sector including Takoradi was conducted by the Team recently to assess the state of basketball in Ghana. Tryouts for players to get picked to form a national select side were conducted in these locations.

Speaking on the exercise, Dr. Ankrah stated, “It’s exciting to see Ghana Basketball grow the way it is growing…we-WBA-always want to see our boys really play well and for them to get the opportunity to be in the national team being a good thing for us.”

A select side from the WBA League and Takoradi Technical University’s (TTU) Men’s Basketball Team played out the exhibition games. GBBA Vice President Alex Kukula, LBF Representative Jonas Vainauskas and IBU West Africa Director Richard Borsah led the Tour.
