Ghana Police Service got mixed fortunes competing against University of Education-Winneba (UEW) at the UCC Wildcats Invitational Basketball Tournament.
In the Men’s Division, Police succumb to a dramatic 32-33 loss after double overtime while in the Women’s Division, Police rarely upped the ante as the team cruised to a 35-10 win over UEW.

Despite having multiple chances for either team to win the game in regular time, both teams proceeded to miss crucial free throws in a very competitive game.

Police’s Women’s team had little trouble ghosting past the young UEW side to register its first win in the tournament after falling 23-25 to host UCC.

The reigning Accra Basketball League Female Division Champions are gearing up for the start of the 2022 Season; Police has a chance to win its third league title in a row should the team triumph in the upcoming season. The league tips off on Tuesday, March 8 at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
