Basketballghana.com can report San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team has missed out on winning the 2021-2022 Mountain West Conference Championship title in the US Men’s College Basketball Playoffs.
San Diego State lost 52-53 to Bose State University in the Conference final; Ghana Center Nathan Mensah started the game and played 32 minutes in the loss for San Diego State.
The long armed athletic defender ended the game with four points, 10 rebounds, an assist, a steal and four blocks in the contest; he led the game in rebounds and blocks. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
Mensah converted just two of six two point shot attempts and missed both free throw attempts as only two Aztec players ended the game with double digits.
The feisty low scoring game had several fouls called on both teams; the loss means San Diego State misses out on winning a second Conference title in a row.
Boise State qualifies automatically to the National Championship tournament but San Diego State would have to wait to be seeded via an announcement later this week by the NCAA.
