Basketballghana.com gathers the 2022 edition of the BIG 6 Basketball Tournament will commence on Saturday, March 19 at the SSNIT Flat Basketball Court in Dansoman in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

The two day competition is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, March 20 with six teams slated to compete for honours at the recently refurbished Court.

The tournament is organized in March to celebrate Ghana’s Independence Day Anniversary and Ghana Basketball; the West African nation recently its 65th year of colonial rule from Great Britain.

Six teams representing suburbs in Ghana’s capital-Dansoman, Kawukudi, Sakumono, Mataheko, Korle Bu and Fadama-will compete in the tournament. (Click highlighted text to watch hype video)

Tournament Organizer Nettey (with hat on)

Basketball Player and Coach Joe Nettey is headlining the basketball themed tournament to celebrate the Ghana Month.

Nettey is a former DC Dynamics Player and played at the 2018 and 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship for Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
