Later today at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, Spintex Knights Basketball Club is in line to make its debut in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II.
The team is scheduled to play fellow debutant Ashaiman Basketball Academy in the first of two games line up today; the game tips off at 15:00 GMT.
Despite its recent formation, Spintex Knights has grown into a very popular feature on the basketball circuit consistently participating in various tourneys all over the country.
In its debut season in the Tema Basketball League-a community based league-Knights finished in second place behind Nungua Coldstore.
Prior to making its way into the ABL Division II, the team hired former TUSK Foundation’s Thomas Amediku as its Head Coach. Coach Thomas led TUSK Foundation to clinch the 2021 Division II title at the expense of Ghana Navy and Galaxy Basketball Academy.
TUSK Foundation, minus Coach Thomas, launches its title defence against Icons Basketball Academy at 16:30 GMT tonight.
