St. John's School Coach Boateng

St. John’s School Basketball Team Coach Ebenzer Boateng has pointed out at the reason behind his team’s strong participation in the just ended Takoradi leg of the Iungo World Ghana Tour.

The online sports platform created to connect athletes to enhance career opportunities is touring the West African nation to promote grassroots basketball development.

The Iungo World entourage has touched base at Accra, Cape Coast and Takoradi and is set to do same in Kumasi and Tamale in the coming days.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com on the sideline of the basketball camp led by former American Spirou Charleroi Point Guard Jerry Johnson, Boateng said he wanted his players to have a different feel from the expatriate coaches.

“Basically we brought them out here to let them have an experience from the Coaches who have come from outside. Basically for them to have different skills from different Coaches which will also add on to whatever they already know” Boateng said.

Shama Senior High School and Bompeh Senior High School were also heavily represented at the Camp.
