Basketballghana.com can confirm for the second week in a row, Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Men’s Basketball Team has bagged a win in the team category and individual category in the 2021-2022 Western Basketball Association (WBA) Regular Season.

Nicknamed the Oilers, TTU secured a 76-51 win over Viking Basketball Academy to clinch its second win in as many games in the league. In the opening week of the new campaign, TTU beat Oil City Kings 47-27.

That game had Ibrahim Jafaro as the Most Valuable Player Award winner; in the win over Viking, Desmond Amponsah’s 27 points and two rebounds outing got him the top Award.

In its debut game this season, Oil City Thunder beat Oil City Dragons 41-37 with Thunder’s Michael Arhin named the MVP after registering 10 points, three rebounds and two assists.

All games were played out at the TTU Court in Ghana’s Western regional capital, Sekondi-Takoradi; seven teams are competing in this year’s league.
