Kings (yellow) v Dragons in WBA League

Earlier today at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Court, Oil City Kings Basketball Club recorded its second win in three games in the young 2022 Western Baasketball Association (WBA) League.

Kings wound up beating Oil City Dragons 73-47 on the back of a strong performance rebounding the ball on offense with Felix Addo and Ican Mensah as the main protagonists.

Dragons on the other hand, remains winless in the league three games into the new season.

Match Report

Steve Armah hit a three pointer and scored three free throws early. Felix Addo drove hard to the basket to score a layup and John Kofi Agyeman stole the ball to score on a fast break. Ican Mensah scored during Kings strong scoring run. Samuel Abbey scored to end Dragons scoring drought. Kings led 23-5 at the end of the first quarter.

Abbey scored for Dragons. Addo, Mensah and Richard Ahadzi scored for Kings. Samuel Abbey Mensah missed three free throws but made up for it by getting four straight points.

Abbey Mensah assisted a three point shot for Dragons. Kings closed the half strongly by getting a corner three pointer from Addo, a layup from Ernest Adadey and Mensah grabbing an offensive rebound and finishing inside the paint to take a 49-23 half time lead en route to a 26 point win.
