Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is in line to play for Olimpia Milano in the first round of the 2021-2022 Italian Serie A playoffs against Reggiana on Sunday, May 15.
Bentil just wrapped up competing in his first season in the Italian top flight regular season this past weekend and is very likely to play a part in Milano’s march to a league title.
Milano ended the regular season in second place with 24 wins and six losses in 30 games behind defending champions Virtus Bologna’s record of 26 wins and four losses.
Reggiana ended the season in seventh place in the 16 team league standings with 15 wins and 15 losses to setup the meet with second ranked Milano.
In the last meeting between the teams, Milano recorded a 67-63 win over Reggiana and both teams recorded wins in their last regular season games.
Bentil averaged 10.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 17 games mainly off the bench.
