Basketballghana.com can report Ghanaian-Italian Guard David Cournooh has played in his first game for Givova Scafati in the Italian Serie A2 since departing Vanoli Cremona.

Cournooh ended his two year stay with Cremona by signing a deal with Scafati earlier this month and he missed Cremona’s penultimate game of the 2021-2022 Season against Sassari.

However, he did play in his first game for Scafati as the team battles for a place in Serie A via the playoffs; Scafati beat Monferrato 76-51.

Cournooh played 20:58 minutes and registered seven points, seven rebounds, a steal and an assist in the win. Game2 and 3 are scheduled to take place later today and Thursday, May 12 respectively.

The veteran Shooting Guard/ Point Guard converted two of three two point shots and scored three of four free throw shot attempts. He did however miss a pair of three point shots.

Cournooh averaged 11 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 28 games in the just ended Serie A regular season that had Cremona finish bottom of the 16 team league rankings.
