Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana and former Indiana Pacers Center Amida Brimah has signed a deal to return to compete for Mets de Guaynabo in the BSN Basketball League in Puerto Rico.

Brimah played a starring role in Mets march to the 2021 Season Finals Series; it was Mets first Finals appearance since 1993 but ended up losing the title.

After missing almost two months to a foot injury, Brimah made a shock return to compete in the Belgian Pro League Finals and aid his side, Filou Oostende, clinch the title. It was the team’s 11th league title win in a row. (Click highlighted text to watch Filou’s title winning celebrations)

However, Brimah was still far from his best on his return and moving to play out the regular season of the BSN gives him a big chance to play his way into his best form and possibly make another run in the NBA Summer League for a shot at an NBA roster.

Mets have 11 wins and 14 losses with seven games left to play this regular season; Brimah arrived at Mets last season midway through the season and sparked a turnaround of fortune for the team.

He will be hoping to do same and perhaps end his second run with the team with a league title.
