Basketballghana.com can confirm rising Ghanaian basketball star Jeremiah Nyarko has committed to be a Student-Athlete at the University of San Diego.

He made the announcement recently to play for the Toreros via his Twitter page and proceeded to thank his Coaches at Sierra Canyon High School.

The athletic 6 foot 8 inch Power Forward generated a lot of interest in the Southern California District attracting scholarship offers from Universities in the district. (Click highlighted text to watch highlight play from Nyarko)

Nyarko has been consistently making it to the highlight reel of high school basketball players primed to make the step up in College. Like many prospects, Nyarko’s athleticism aids him score many points at this stage in his career and his talent is malleable enough to expand his overall play to include more spot up shooting and ball handling.

University of San Diego won 15 games and lost 16 games last season; the team is likely to play University of San Diego State next season and Nyarko could matchup against Ghanaian Center Nathan Mensah.
