Cournooh dribbles basketball in Game

Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Italian International Shooting Guard/Point Guard David Cournooh has signed a deal with Serie A side Germani Brescia marking his return to Italy’s top flight basketball league.

Cournooh played last season in Serie A for Vanoli Cremona but the team was relegated at the end of the 2021-2022 Campaign and went on to play 14 games for Serie A2 side Givova Basket in its attempt to make it to Serie A. Givova made it to the final but lost 82-100 to Verona.

Brescia ended last season in third place in the standings with a record of 21 wins and nine losses but suffered a first round exit in the playoffs to Sassari.

Cournooh averaged 11.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 28 games for Cremona and averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in Serie A2.

Cournooh in action for Bologna

The 31 year old has competed for Italian teams throughout his professional career; he has played for the likes of Cantu and Fortitudo Bologna. He won the Serie A title during his time at Virtus Bologna.
