Winning an award at the Basketball Honours 2022 is a big boost for Non Governmental Organization YETS Ghana according to Program Coordinator Razak Umar Kasim.
He relayed this information in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com at the recently held Awards event at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Headquarters.
YETS Ghana was a recipient of the Grassroots Partners Award in the wake of producing student-athletes (basketball players) who have competed at the Sprite Ball Championship and Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship over the years.
“We are very happy to be part of this we are very happy we have been recognized. For the past seven years we have been running this program…this particular one (award win) has really boost now. Because of this, we are going to work and we are going to produce more kids” he said. (Click highlighted text to watch full interview)
YETS Ghana is constructing a facility that will have two basketball courts, a computer lab, library and dormitory facilities for young individuals.
