Knights Coach Thomas Amediku

Spintex Knights Basketball Club Head Coach Thomas Amediku has expressed his feeling ahead of his team’s opening game at the Tournoi International Basketball Tournament.

The tournament runs from July 18 to July 24 at the Palais des sports Treichville in Abidjan, Ivory Coast with eight teams participating. The participating teams have been drawn from four West African nations, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin and Ivory Coast.

Spintex Knights is representing Ghana at the competition and in the lead up to the team’s opening game against SEWE of Ivory Coast, Amediku stated “Very confident about tomorrow. Let’s get it Boys” on Twitter. (Click highlighted text to view full statement.

The 2022 Tournoi International has the likes of ASPAC from Benin and Kwara Falcons from Nigeria competing; Phenix Basketball Club is the host team and the competition is recognized by the Ivorian Basketball Federation.

Knights Club departed Ghana with an unblemished record in the 2022 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II campaign as the team has recorded 10 wins in 10 games to lead Group B standings.
