Fire Service (red) v Air Force in 2022 Women's Division Matchup

Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Fire Service Basketball Team has recorded its fourth win of the 2022 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.

The team beat Ghana Air Force 30-23 at the Prisons Court in Cantonments to clinch the win that sets Fire’s record for the season at four wins and nine losses in 13 Regular Season games.

Air force trailed Fire 21-29 with 5:14 minutes remaining after Carlyn Adjei scored a three pointer. Theresa Dodoo put more points on the board for Fire but exited the game with an ankle injury. Fire held on to clinch the seven point win.

While Fire Service improves its record for the season, Air Force remains stuck on three wins and eight losses in 11 Regular Season games while both teams are bound to maintain their respective spots in the league standings.

Air Force ranks eighth in the standings while Fire ranks sixth in the league; defending champions Ghana Police Service is second in the league behind Reformers of Prisons.
