TV3-the award winning television station- has played a key role to the development of basketball in the country through innovative initiatives aimed at broadcasting the game to a large audience. One of such initiatives is the introduction of Ghana’s premier basketball show, “Fast Break” on its’ network two years ago.

The hour-long event is expected to attract representatives and student-athletes from participating institutions, media outlets, event organizer Rite Sports Limited and the basketball fraternity respectively.

The UPAC Championship was created in 2011 as the umbrella event to feature tertiary institutions irrespective of the various sects they represent. In the two previous editions of the Championship, Accra Polytechnic has reigned supreme by annexing the trophy.

The 2016 UPAC Championship is supported by telecommunications giant MTN, CAL Bank and Fanyogo in partnership with media outlets Y FM, Basketballghana.com and Graphic Sports.
