Registration for the Global Sports Projects (GSP)-inspired basketball tour in Ghana’s Brong-Ahafo Region is set to end on June 10 in line with measures outlined by management to promote basketball in the region. In order to keep stakeholders active during the break, GSP unveiled a tour of the region with players from the GSP league in Sunyani.

Public Relations Officer of GSP Daniel Addo reminded all interested parties to register before the June 10 deadline in an interview with Basketballghana.com. He further outlined certain conditions prospective participants must fulfill in order to be eligible to partake in the tour. He said:

“Coaches and captains of each team should select their best two players to represent them. Teams must be a fully registered team in the GSP Basketball League in 2016. Any player selected must be a fully registered player with the assigned team and should have his details on the team sheet. Deadline for player selection is 10th June, 2016.”

The tour will be staged in Brong-Ahafo regional towns including Berekum, Bechem and Techiman. However, dates for the games are yet to be announced.

The GSP League second season commenced on April 30 but has been in hibernation since the first round of games where defending champions Sun City Braves earned a walkover win over University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
