Tudu Magic is set to face Teshie Rangers later today after losing 53-58 to Reformers of Prisons in its game at the Lebanon House Court in the opening round of the 2016 Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I playoffs.

Magic takes on Rangers in a must win game for the side against Rangers who lost 41-66 against Braves of Customs in their postseason debut game. The tie will however, be preceded by Ghana Navy’s matchup against Fire Service which got postponed after referees failed to turn up for the game.

Home side Magic lacked fluidity particularly on the offensive end as the side found it difficult to carve out a not so defensively sound Reformers side. Coach James Okine will be under pressure to win today’s fixture against the eight seeded Rangers side that played well against the defending champions.

Missing the likes of Point Guard Emmanuel Ekow Amoako certainly doesn’t help matters in this regard as the flashy Guard’s shooting stroke and deft passes were needed to open up the opposing defense.

The first round will be completed on October 8 with semi finals and finals set to be completed on October 13 and 14 respectively.
