UG beat KNUST.

UG won the 2016 GUSA and UPAC.

University of Cape-Coast (UCC) has topped University of Development Studies (UDS) 76-56 in the second semifinal game of the 7th Mini GUSA Games Basketball competition to set up a matchup with University of Ghana (UG) in the finals.

The final game is set to take place in the early hours on Thursday January 10 at UCC’s Gymnasium with the third place game scheduled to be honored before tipoff.

UCC will be looking forward to winning the top prize after placing third at the main Games played in January 2016.

Host UCC makes it to the finals after a roller coaster ride thus far in the competition as the side almost failed to progress from Group B heading into the round of games.

However, an 85-42 win over University of Professional Studies (UPSA) was enough to seal top spot in the group ahead of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and bundle strong starter University of Education-Winneba (UEW) out of the competition.

KNUST lost to UG in the opening semifinal game 43-35 fixing the side in the third place game against UDS.
