The 2017 Universities, Polytechnic and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship rolls out from February 17 with a mouth-watering fixtures to entice local fans.

The championship, which has gained massive inches in the Ghanaian media, will tee off in Accra on Friday February 17 at the University of Ghana court.

There are several enthralling fixtures expected to hold fans spellbound for the next three months across seven regions .

Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) are housed in zone A alongside Maritime University College, Marshalls University College and Ghana Technology University College.

There are exciting games to look forward to in zone B where Koforidua Technical University, KAF University College, Valley View University and All Nations University College will mark their debut in the competition.

University of Cape Coast,Cape Coast Technical University, University of Education, Winneba as well as Takoradi Technical University find themselves in the same pool in zone C.

Reigning champions University of Ghana begin their title defense in zone D with clashes against  neighbours University of Professional Studies as well as Blues Crest University and Ho Technical University.

Two-time champions Accra Technical University will slug it out with Pentecost University College, Central University and Wisconsin University College in zone E.

There are places for Sunyanyi Technical University, Catholic University College, Sunyani Nursing Training as well as University of Energy and Natural Resources in zone F.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana Technology University College (Kumasi), Kumasi Technical University and Garden University College complete the cast in zone G.

The UPAC Basketball Championship is expected to attract the top brass of players during the three months period.

It’s the height of basketball at the educational ladder with teams dotted across the Universities and Colleges slugging it out against each other.
