Ghana Forward Ben Bentil did not see any time on the court for Dallas Mavericks in the team’s 104-100 win over Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA.

The game took place in the early hours of March 4 at the Mavericks home arena, the American Airlines Center.

After becoming the first Ghana-born player to play in the NBA following his four minute stint against Atlanta Hawks, Bentil was in line to play extended minutes and possibly score his first NBA points.

However, the 6 foot 8 inch versatile Forward marked his second non playing appearance for Dallas since signing a 10 day contract little over a week ago. He failed to play in the Mavericks win over Miami Heat in a previous contest.

Prior to joining the Mavericks, the Sekondi native featured for Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA’s Development League.

Fellow 10 day contract signee Quinn Cook has had much joy in the side as he has featured in all three games signing the deal with Bentil; he recorded five points and three assists in 15 minutes against Memphis.

Seth Curry continued his ascent to elite scoring status as he led the game in scoring after dropping 24 points for Dallas.
