Leopards contest Richard Tetteh of Navy (9).

New boys Adenta Leopards are adapting to life in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I just fine. Leopards are yet to lose a game since qualifying from Division II to the elite division in 2016.

The side beat DC Dynamics 55-41 in its debut game before surviving a late onslaught from Ghana Navy to win 53-50 in the latest round of games played midweek at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Possessing a chunk of the University of Ghana (UG) that has dominated Ghana’s tertiary basketball landscape including Paul Nsakie, Joel Tham and 2016 Tertiary Player of the Year Maxwell Mod, Adenta has flashed its youthfulness in both games played so far.

Leopards took a sizable 41-25 lead over Dynamics at the end of the third quarter and did same against Navy with a 46-29 third quarter lead.

However, the side has lacked coordination down the stretch with underwhelming performances in fourth quarters in both games.

Against Navy, a 17 point lead was almost wiped out as Adenta conceded multiple three point shots from Navy duo Richard Tetteh and Kojo Ofori.
