Ahead of the anticipated showdown between Ghana’s top tertiary basketball teams, Basketballghana.com takes a closer look at the main players to look out for on each team.

Suleman Abubakar-ATU Center
Ghana’s reigning Most Valuable Player of the Year will be leaned on more to carry his side to a third UPAC Championship win with the young ATU side that has newbie’s including Taufik Mohammed. Abubakar’s contribution on both ends of the court blends perfectly with former MVP winner Mutalib Alhassan.

Abdou Fatau-UDS Point Guard
UDS’ failure to play in last year’s quarterfinals despite qualifying to the stage of the competition meant many missed out on the opportunity to see the diminutive but powerful playmaker. Voted MVP in last year’s zonal qualifiers, Fatau is set to thrill this time around with his team set to play in Accra.

Nathaniel Uyoh- All Nations Point GuardRobert Brew-UENR Point Guard
In a Point Guard dominated list, Brew is easily the most heralded of the trio after his eye catching exploits at this last year. UENR’s floor general looked in equally impressive fashion as he guided his side to an unbeaten run to top Zone F.
