The 2017 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship has come to an end with University of Ghana (UG) retaining its title following a 41-23 win over Marshalls University College.

UG, who doubled as the host team, made light work of the biggest threat to its crown with an excellent performance in the final game.

The side went unbeaten through the qualifiers that saw them top Zone D, top the much talked about Group A in the quarterfinals before clinching the title.

Marshalls on the other hand, lost to UG in the quarters but recovered to beat record winners Accra Technical University (ATU) 41-39 in the semifinals.

University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) placed fourth losing 42-20 to ATU.

All Nations University College and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) exited the competition without scoring any wins.
