Navy players go up for rebound against Fire.

Fire Service (red) beat University of Ghana 36-32.
At the end of today’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division game between Ghana Navy and University of Ghana (UG), Navy will hope to be on the winning end of the result in order to maintain its winning over UG this season.

The Mariners beat the tertiary side 41-26 in the first round of the season in what turned out to be a very good half for Navy.

However, matters have deteriorated in the season’s second half culminating in a two game losing run that has seen the side fall out of the title race.

Needing a win, UG can exploit Navy’s bad form to clinch a fourth win of the season and exact revenge on the 15 point loss earlier in the season.

The game will be UG’s first appearance after missing two previous rounds due to reasons known to Basketballghana.com as “administrative”.

Tipoff is at 17:30 GMT at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
