In the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I, the Mariners lie bottom of the standings with just eight points from eight games played.
The side has failed to win a game in the entire first half of the season and recently lost two more since the second round began.
However, Navy has been on a winning streak since the 2017 Tema Community Basketball League began; the side has won all four games played.
Whereas Navy has been guilty of blowing leads including loss 61-62 to DC Dynamics after leading 26-6 after the first quarter.
Unlike the ABL, Navy has shown a tough mentality in the Tema league coming from behind to beat hitherto unbeaten Tema Heat 27-26 in the last round of games.
In a strange twist of fate, Navy ranks bottom in one competition but leads the eight team Group B in Tema.
