Ashaiman Lions 2017 Tema Basketball League Regular Season comes to an end later tonight at Tema’s Community 4 Court.

The team is scheduled to be in action against Ghana Police in the highly anticipated Group A matchup in the Tema League.

However, the tie is the final game for both sides as the regular season draws to a close with the postseason places confirmed for either side.

Police lie second in the standings with Lions a spot behind in the group; defending champions Nungua Coldstore leads the group with Junior Reformers in fourth place.

The quartet has qualified to the playoffs same way Tema Communities 4 and 2, Tema Heat and Ghana Navy have in Group B respectively.

Tonight’s fixture is the first of potentially four ties involving Lions and Police as the two sides will meet in the first round of the playoffs.

However, with the postseason mere days away, a win tonight could is vital to build momentum ahead of next month’s games.
