This is the second straight nomination Afari has bagged in 2017 following his nomination and win at the Exclusive Men of the Year Awards in a similar category.
He hosts celebrated basketball program “Courtside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports exhibiting a dynamic flair of hard hitting, insightful flair with a touch of comedy and entertainment.
The two hour show has been on the screens since late 2016 and the vaunted platform has hosted a bevy of celebrities in basketball and outside the sport.
During this time, Afari has interviewed several big personalities including NBA Champions David West of Golden State Warriors, TJ Warren of Phoenix Suns and NBA Hall of Fame inductee Dikembe Mutombo.
Since premiering on Kwese, Courtside has excelled highlighting basketball related events, activities, and news in Ghana and outside of it in the football dominant country.
Deservedly, the show has been nominated as the best TV Sports Program of the Year. The Awards is sponsored by Adonko Bitters.
